At Buzzel, Wels & Hill, we know how much of a challenge it can be to afford an education after high school, whether that’s a college degree, a graduate degree or technical training. That’s why we’re pleased to announce our 3rd annual Scholarship Contest, meant to help the next generation of college and technical school students bring their goals to life.
Help design a better driver education curriculum
According to a recent report by Harris Poll and Volvo Car USA, 52 percent of Americans believe that the driver education process is outdated. The current licensing system centers on a written test and a short practical exam. Unsurprisingly, most driver education programs train teens to pass the test, resulting in only limited time behind the wheel. Is that really the best approach to create safe, confident and conscientious drivers?
For this year’s contest, we invite students to create a new driver education program or process that could work in your own town. Use text, video, graphics and other media to outline your curriculum, demonstrating how it’s better than the current approach. The most creative concept will win, and the applicant will be awarded a $2,500 scholarship for the 2021 fall semester.
Open to United States citizens or permanent US residents who currently attend or plan to attend an accredited United States college, university, or technical/trade school during the Fall 2021 semester. For more requirement details go to Scholarship Program: Eligibility and Application Requirements (bwhlegal.com)
The winner’s $2,500 scholarship award will be issued directly to a college or university financial aid office.
